
Alli Spotts-De Lazzer, LMFT, LPCC, CEDS-S – Clinical Director
Alli Spotts-De Lazzer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (49842), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (844), Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS), and a CEDS supervisor who has a private practice in Studio City, Los Angeles. She’s the author of MeaningFULL: 23 Life-Changing Stories of Conquering Dieting, Weight, & Body Image Issues, a book offering readers help, hope, and connection through its 23 relatable mini-memoirs about eating and body image stresses paired with expert insights. Her articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals, trade magazines, and online hubs. A special honor was co-authoring a two-part piece with renowned eating disorders expert and pioneer Carolyn Costin. In addition, Alli has presented educational workshops at international and local conferences, graduate schools, clinical training facilities, and hospitals.
Passionate about advocacy and service to the field, Alli has run a support group for friends and family of people with eating and body image issues for over a decade and co-chaired committees for the Academy for Eating Disorders and the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, “iaedp.” She also created #ShakeIt for Self-Acceptance! –a series of public events sparking important conversations through fun, inspiring speeches, and flash mob dance, which appeared throughout the United States. Distinctions include the following: iaedp named her the 2017 Member of the Year; Mayor Eric Garcetti recognized July 13, 2017, as “#ShakeIt for Self-Acceptance! Day” in the City of Los Angeles; and HappyRubin.com placed MeaningFULL: 23 Life-Changing Stories of Conquering Dieting, Weight, & Body Image Issues in their list, “10 Books That Change Your Life.”
