Katherine Leist

Katherine Leist, a passionate and dedicated dancer, master teacher and choreographer whose journey through the world of dance has been a testament to perseverance, creativity, and an unwavering love for the art form. Originally from Worcester, MA, Katherine honed in on formal dance training at a young age focusing on styles such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, modern, hip hop and musical theater under the guidance of her accomplished teachers at Charlotte Klein Dance Centers. She continued to embrace the discipline and technique of dance as she trained and earned her BA in Dance and a minor in Marketing from Hofstra University.

Katherine’s career began in New York City with performance credits including Rite Aid, Lucille Roberts, European music artist Sofia Strati, the NY Titans Pro Lax Dance Team and Paul Mitchell. Her career continued as she transitioned to Los Angeles adding more credits to her resume with Wipeout (ABC), Nike, Audi, NFL, NuSkin, Disney, Zumba Video Games and Apple. Katherine has enjoyed performing in live shows such as Dee Caspery’s “The Nvitational”, The Capezio ACE Awards, Carnival Choreographer’s Ball, Interweave Dance Theater, Revelations Dance & Aerial Co, Dancescape, Art4Life and Dance Excellence.

As her journey evolved, so did Katherine’s desire to contribute to the dance world as a choreographer. She has worked numerous hours as assistant and associate to the abundantly talented Alexandra Little on productions for Audi, Nike, NFL, Genentech and Dancing With the Stars. Katherine also developed and coached the National Championship Award Winning Hart Dance Team for 12 years, and led them to the semi-finals with her choreography at Radio City Music Hall on America’s Got Talent Season 9. Katherine is now working as a freelance master teacher and choreographer, traveling across the country to share her joy, passion and knowledge of dance with dancers of all ages.

Katherine’s dance biography is an evolving story. Her aspirations extend beyond the stage. She is committed to pushing the boundaries of creativity, continuously learning, and contributing to the ever-evolving world of dance with vibrant hues of passion, dedication, and the transformative power of movement. .
